Aureus is Omaha-based and it genuinely feels like working with a local company even when you're placed across the country. My recruiter has been with me for all three contracts and knows my preferences inside out. Pay has been competitive — not the absolute top, but within range, and she's never tried to lowball me. The company culture feels different from the big players: more relationship-driven, fewer hand-offs, more accountability.

Aureus surprised me. I expected another corporate experience and got the opposite. My recruiter is attentive, returns calls fast, and has been candid with me about which facilities have red flags. She turned down a placement for me once because she'd heard bad things about the facility's staffing situation. That kind of advocacy is rare. Pay has been solid — not always the leader on every contract, but close, and the relationship makes up the difference.

Aureus has been a good agency for school SLP placements. Mid-sized company with genuine therapy knowledge — the recruiters have worked with SLPs long enough to understand school year contract dynamics, IEP season pressures, and CF supervision requirements. Pay is competitive. Where I lose a half-star is that their school SLP job inventory is smaller than Jackson's or AMN's. But for quality of relationship and pay, they're strong.

Aureus is one of the most underrated agencies in the industry. Mid-sized, Omaha-based, and genuinely different in feel from the coastal corporate agencies. My recruiter has stayed with me for two years. Pay is strong but doesn't always top boutique PT-owned agencies. The thing that keeps me coming back is the reliability — I've never had a contract modification surprise or a recruiter no-show. Four stars because there are slightly better pay options out there, not because of any Aureus failure.

Good experience with Aureus for COTA placements. They have enough positions in SNF settings to keep me busy and the recruiter I work with understands the COTA market, which is not universal. She's been upfront about pay rate differences between PT/OT and COTA positions instead of sugar-coating it. Responsive when I reach out. Solid mid-tier choice for COTA travelers — not the highest pay but consistent and relationship-focused.

Great first agency experience. Aureus got me a strong SNF contract in the Midwest and my recruiter was invested from day one. She sent me a welcome text the night before my first day, which sounds small but set the tone for the whole relationship. Pay was strong for my first contract and she explained the package clearly. The Omaha-based, smaller-company feel means people actually know your name. Really positive experience.
