Core Medical has been a reliable agency for me in a way I didn't expect from a mid-size company. My recruiter responds same day, every time. He's been with me for two years and hasn't left — that recruiter stability is underrated. Pay isn't the highest you'll find but it's fair and he's been transparent about what the package breakdown looks like. For SNF PT in the Midwest, they consistently have solid positions. I recommend them specifically to people who want reliability over chasing the absolute highest pay.

I've had a genuinely positive experience with Core Medical. My recruiter found me an IRF OT position in a market where few agencies had placements — New England, where facilities tend to work with fewer agencies. She negotiated the contract details on my behalf and secured a higher stipend than their initial offer. The communication throughout the contract was consistent — a check-in call at week 2 and week 8. Nothing flashy, but consistently professional. That reliability is worth something.

Core Medical is one of those agencies that doesn't get a lot of buzz but probably should. My recruiter is excellent and has been for three contracts. Response time is fast — I've never waited more than a few hours on a business day. Pay is solid but I'll be honest, I use a second agency to compare and Core doesn't always win on raw dollars. Where they do win is consistency. No surprise changes to the package, no last-minute contract modifications, no recruiter turnover. Four stars — a dependable second or third agency to have in your toolkit.

As a PTA traveler, Core Medical has been fair to work with. Positions available in the Southeast, pay packages that are reasonable, and a recruiter who responds when I reach out. She's been straightforward about the package structure and hasn't tried to hide the math. My one complaint is that they don't have a ton of positions specifically for PTA versus PT. Sometimes I get the feeling the recruiter is more comfortable placing PTs. But when they do have a PTA position, it's been a good experience.

Core Medical sits in my second-tier agency bucket — I don't lead with them, but I always check what they have available because they occasionally come in higher than my primary agencies on specific contracts. Pay transparency is better than average; they'll share the bill rate if you ask, which not every agency does. My recruiter is accessible and doesn't add pressure when I'm deciding. What holds them back from five stars is that their overall job volume is more limited than the big players, so opportunities can be thin in some markets.

First-year COTA traveler. Core Medical was easy to work with during onboarding — compliance portal was clear, my recruiter walked me through all the documents, and the process from offer acceptance to start date was smooth. Pay was fair for a COTA, not exceptional, but I didn't feel taken advantage of. My recruiter has been consistently available. I asked her to explain the difference between the taxable and non-taxable portions of my package three separate times and she answered patiently each time without making me feel dumb.

Three stars from a veteran traveler perspective. Core Medical does the basics well — responsive, consistent, reasonably transparent. But seven years in, I know what top-tier looks like, and Core doesn't reach that bar. Pay on the same contracts tends to come in $150-200/week behind what boutique PT-owned agencies can offer. Benefits are average. Job volume is okay but not exceptional. They're a B+ agency — reliable and professional, worth having in your rotation, but not the one I'd give to a friend as my top recommendation.

I've done two back-to-back school OT contracts through Core Medical and both have been excellent placements. My recruiter found districts that matched my experience level and communication style — she actually asked about my supervision preference before submitting me for a role with a newer team. That thoughtfulness is rare. I'm newer to travel so I can't compare pay as broadly as experienced travelers, but the packages felt fair and she explained everything clearly. Five stars for my experience — consistent, communicative, personalized.
