Fusion's 401k match was a game changer for me when I first started traveling. Most agencies offer 401k but the match percentage is tiny — Fusion's is actually meaningful. Combined with a solid pay package and their day-one insurance, the total compensation picture is legitimately competitive. My first recruiter at Fusion was excellent. Really built a relationship, understood my school SLP niche, found me two back-to-back school contracts in the same district.

I've done four contracts with Fusion and three of them were genuinely great. The portal is the best I've used — everything in one place, compliance tracking, pay stubs, contract documents. Pay has been competitive, not the absolute top of market but within reach of what I find elsewhere. My recruiter on contracts 1 and 3 was excellent. Responsive, honest, helped me negotiate an extension. The other contracts had different recruiters and the quality varied.

Honestly surprised at how good Fusion was for my first OT contract. They explained the whole package clearly, benefits kicked in on day one which I needed because I had a gap leaving my previous job, and the housing stipend was solid. The recruiter I had was warm and checked in regularly. I'm on my second contract with them now. Pay could be a little higher but the overall package + the relationship made it work.

Four stars. Fusion is solid overall but the recruiter turnover issue is real and it burned me. I had a great relationship with my recruiter — genuinely great, she knew my preferences, was honest about contracts, we'd been working together for 18 months. Then one day she was gone. New recruiter assigned, no transition conversation, had to rebuild the relationship from scratch mid-contract search. It felt impersonal and left me with a bad taste. The pay and benefits are still competitive so I've stayed but I've also diversified to other agencies.

Fusion was my first agency and overall I'm glad I went with them. The onboarding was smooth, the portal made compliance painless, and the pay was fair for a new traveler. The one thing I'd flag: my recruiter was very slow to respond in March when a lot of spring school contracts were opening up. I'd send a message and wait 2-3 days. It felt like I was competing for her attention. Outside of busy season, much better. Four stars — would work with them again.

Three contracts with Fusion, three different recruiters. Not by choice — turnover kept happening. The first recruiter was great. Second was okay. Third seemed disorganized and took days to get back to me on a time-sensitive contract question. I eventually missed that opportunity. The pay is genuinely competitive and the benefits package is one of the better ones I've seen, especially the 401k. But the recruiter roulette is a real problem for PTA placements where relationships matter even more because we have less leverage.

I hate writing mixed reviews because Fusion has genuinely great people working there. The problem is retention — I can't build a long-term relationship when my recruiter keeps changing. Pay offers have been inconsistent too, which makes me wonder if different recruiters are authorized to offer different packages. On my second contract with Fusion I got a lower initial offer than my first, had to negotiate back up to where I'd been before. Would prefer that transparency just existed from the start.

My recruiter at Fusion has been with me for both contracts and has been outstanding. I know other people have had turnover issues — I haven't. She's responsive, honest, and found me a contract in North Carolina when I wanted to move there with very little notice. The benefits are great, especially for PT. I'd recommend Fusion, with the caveat that the experience seems to vary a lot by recruiter. Get references if you can before committing.

Fusion is a solid mid-tier agency for COTA placements. Pay is better than the big corporate companies, benefits are legitimately strong (401k match is real and meaningful), and the platform they use for managing contracts and compliance is excellent. My one frustration has been getting placed — as a COTA I sometimes feel the recruiters are more focused on OT and PT positions. Had to be persistent. Once I had an advocate who understood COTA placements, everything improved.

Used Fusion for two years, left after my third recruiter change. The institutional knowledge about me — my preferences, my clinical background, what I'd negotiated before — was lost every time. I'd have to re-explain everything. By the third time I just lost patience. The underlying product is good: pay is competitive, 401k is excellent, compliance portal is the industry's best. But the recruiter turnover made it feel like a transaction rather than a relationship. Switched to a smaller agency with lower turnover and I'm much happier.
