Jackson has been my primary agency for three years and I've had the same recruiter the entire time. That continuity makes all the difference. She knows my preferences cold — setting type, location priorities, minimum pay thresholds. When a new contract opens that fits my criteria she texts me before I even know to look. Job volume is genuinely impressive; I've never been between contracts for more than two weeks. Stipends are consistently solid, though I know other agencies can occasionally beat them on the same position.

Jackson has the best variety of OT contracts I've found. They've placed me in Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee with zero downtime between contracts. My recruiter is responsive and straight with me — she told me once that a particular facility had high turnover and recommended I think carefully before accepting. That kind of honesty is rare. Stipends have been good in HCOL areas, and pay has been fair. Four times out of five she's found what I've asked for within a week.

Jackson has a lot of school SLP positions and the stipends in high-cost-of-living areas have been competitive. My experience has been four stars for a simple reason: I've had two recruiters, and the gap between them was enormous. My first recruiter was outstanding — proactive, knowledgeable about school-year contract timelines, helped me line up my next placement before my current one ended. My second recruiter (after a team restructure) has been much more passive. I have to initiate everything. I'm staying because of the job volume but I'd love to have my old recruiter back.

Jackson was my first agency and the experience was good overall. I appreciated having lots of outpatient PT options in Texas, which is where I wanted to stay for my first contract. My recruiter was responsive during the initial contract process, then went quieter mid-contract. When I reached out about my next placement, response times were slower than I expected — sometimes 2-3 days. Everything worked out fine but I had a few moments of anxiety not knowing if my next contract was secured. Would use them again, with a second agency running parallel.

Jackson specializes in therapy — not nursing, not allied health broadly — and it shows. The recruiters understand the difference between PT, OT, and SLP scopes, and as a COTA I've never felt like an afterthought. They consistently have SNF COTA positions across the country. My current recruiter is excellent. Pay has been fair and competitive; stipends are solid especially for higher cost-of-living states. I've done four contracts with them and would recommend them to any experienced COTA traveler.

Jackson is a solid mid-tier agency that I keep in my rotation but not as my primary. The job volume is unmatched for therapy specifically — I use them to see what's available in a market, then often try to get the same contract through a smaller agency for better pay. About half the time Jackson beats smaller agencies on stipends; the other half, I can do better elsewhere. The recruiter experience is genuinely variable by who you get. My current recruiter is responsive and helpful. Previous one disappeared for a week when I had an urgent question. Worth having in your toolkit, but not your only tool.

Jackson had pediatric OT contracts when many other agencies didn't, which is why I came to them. That specialty search capability was impressive. My recruiter found me two consecutive peds contracts in the mid-Atlantic region with barely a week gap. Pay was competitive for the specialty. My only real complaint is that it took some work to get connected with a recruiter who actually understood peds OT vs. general OT. Once I got the right person, the relationship was excellent. If you're in a niche specialty, be persistent about getting a recruiter who knows your area.

Three stars because my experience was genuinely uneven. Jackson had contracts in the Pacific Northwest which is why I went with them — limited availability from other agencies in that region. My recruiter was hard to reach. I'd text and email and sometimes wait 3-4 days for a response. When she did respond, she was helpful and knowledgeable, but the communication gaps caused real stress. Pay was decent and I completed my contract successfully. I'd try Jackson again with a different recruiter, but the first experience was frustrating enough that I'm cautious.
