Med Travelers is AMN's subsidiary and it shows — you get the AMN infrastructure, app, and facility network, but with a slightly smaller recruiter team. My recruiter was solid and much more personal than my experience with AMN directly. She checked in mid-contract without me asking. Pay was in AMN territory — competitive for a large company but not boutique-agency level. If you want AMN's job access with a more personal touch, Med Travelers is worth trying.

Three stars — it's fine. Med Travelers does what it promises: access to AMN's enormous facility network, steady contract flow, and professional compliance management. The pay is consistently 10-12% below boutique agencies for comparable contracts. My recruiter was professional but not the relationship I've gotten with smaller agencies. If you're newer and want access to the AMN network without the full corporate AMN experience, Med Travelers is a decent middle ground.

Med Travelers found me school SLP positions I couldn't access through other agencies. The AMN network for school contracts is significant. My recruiter was attentive during school year contract renewals. Pay isn't top-of-market but was reasonable for the access I got. Being an AMN company means some exclusive facility relationships that smaller agencies simply don't have. Worth having in your portfolio, especially if you work in schools.

Med Travelers is solid but not exceptional. I used them for two SNF contracts in the Southeast. The process was smooth, recruiter was available, pay was competitive with other mid-tier agencies. What you don't get is the transparency and negotiation flexibility of smaller boutique agencies. The AMN connection means good facility coverage but also AMN-style pay margins. Three stars — dependable and unremarkable.

Five years in, I use Med Travelers only when I need a specific market that other agencies can't access. The AMN network opens facilities other agencies don't have relationships with. But for regular SNF or outpatient contracts, I can consistently do better on pay through boutique agencies. Three stars because that's what they are: useful for specific situations, not optimal as a primary agency.

First contract with Med Travelers in a competitive California market. They had multiple options when other agencies came up dry. My recruiter was professional and got me onboarded quickly. Pay was fair for the market. I don't have much to compare against yet, but the experience was smooth and professional. Four stars as a new traveler — solid introduction to the industry.
